What it does
One story, every child, no argument
Different ages want different things, and someone usually loses. Woud gives every storyteller a real turn — their own name, colour and signature sound announce it, so nobody is left waiting and nobody is left out. Fairness is tracked per child, not per character.
It ends the night
Most story apps are built to keep children watching. Woud is built to get them to sleep. The story deliberately winds down: no new worries late on, a reserved calm close, and a gentle goodnight. No streaks, no rewards to chase, no autoplay, no infinite scroll, and no advertising anywhere.
It takes the pressure off you
No inventing a story. No reading it “properly”. No guilt on the nights you have nothing left. Begin bedtime, and the Keeper carries it — while you sit with them.
Good for them while you settle
The story is read along as it is told, so children follow the words while they listen. Language adapts to each child’s age band, and the Chronicle remembers what became true, so tonight builds on the nights before.
A look at it
Built for families, privately
Children are never asked for their real names — they choose a pretend name inside the world. There is no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking of any kind. You can delete everything at any time, and it is really gone.
Woud is designed for sensitive evenings: dark by default, Reduce Motion respected, Dynamic Type throughout, and a read-along built for VoiceOver. You choose a shorter night whenever the evening needs one.
